2411cc B20 Stroker

History lesson. A while back, we acquired a heavily worn 2.3 liter B20 that had been bored and stroked by TRS-USA ["The Rally Shop"] in 1987. Though it was still running, it had 2 broken valve springs, 1 cam lobe that was completely flat, 2 more lobes that were visibly worn, and all 8 valves were receding (exhausts more than intakes, of course).

Rather than rework this engine with more modern parts, we set about rebuilding it with the intention of staying as close to its original build specs as possible/reasonable. We didn't build a modern stroker. We rebuilt an engine that represents a specific moment in North American Volvo history. Got some grief over that.

In its original form and with a displacement of 2.3 liters, this engine put more than 200 horsepower to the ground.

This engine has been sold.

       What Our Clients Are Saying

"Thanks for resealing my transmission! It's now leak free and working like a charm. Also, it was great to have such limited down time."

"Cameron was there when I purchased my 1957 Volvo 444, my daily driver since 2008, and has been there ever since! Wouldn'...t have it any other way. He knows what he's doing, loves what he does, does it at a fair price and timely."
